This is not about improvement. The whole strategy now is 'running down the clock', in the hopes that if they delay/defer any decisions or investigations they will get away with it all. I suspect the resignation is not about spending time with family or whatever nonsense is being put out for public consumption. Gonzo was the most popular on the list of impeachable targets, at least among congresscritters. That impeachment could have naturally shifted to more criminal wrongdoing by higher up personas. I don't think it's an accident that gonzo resigned while congress is on recess, and I do suspect that some other toady will be slid in to replace without congressional oversight.

It is good that he's going, but I wanted to see the perp walk. And I still want accountability for all of the high crimes and misdemeanors.

And whatever happened to impeaching Cheney? Wasn't some guy actually trying to do that at one point? They quelled that quickly.

Kucinich introduced articles of impeachment against darth cheney two months ago. I think it's still in committee, which is legislative death.

Listening to shrub's defense of the slimeball made me gag. There was also an interesting freudian slip, i think, anyway...gwb said gonzales was impeding justice (or something similar--it's been a while and i'm trying to eat a chalupa...)

Man, you should not try to eat while watching (or listening to) that man. I saw a little blurb of it on countdown which was enough to make my stomach churn. Were I actually eating, my results would have been far more colorful.

I was running errands this morning before work when I heard that, and here I am driving down this busy street yelling BULLSHIT!!!!! at the top of my lungs. Man, if people knew I was listening to NPR, they'd tell me I needed to take my meds.
